1. Using the Club
By creating an account or using Club features, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not create an account or submit content. You must be at least 18 and legally able to agree to these terms. If you act for an organization, you must have authority to do so.
The Club celebrates software built resourcefully with cheapoS. It is an early-stage service: features, rankings, and availability may change. The separately distributed cheapoS software remains governed by its own license. These terms do not replace that license or the terms of your hosting, sign-in, gateway, or AI providers.
2. Accounts and consent
Provide accurate account information, protect access to your sign-in provider and connected installations, and tell us if you suspect misuse. Do not impersonate another person or organization. You control whether to connect an installation and share usage or model information. Our Privacy Policy explains the information involved and your choices.
New build posts require operator approval before publication. Pending and rejected posts are accessible to their author and authorized site operators. Edits to a published post require a new review. Once approved, community posts have their own public visibility and are not hidden by turning off leaderboard sharing. Approval is a moderation decision, not a guarantee that the software is safe, accurate, or independently verified.
3. Fair play and acceptable use
Do not falsify usage, forge another installation’s reports, manipulate rankings or cheers, impersonate authors, harass people, post unlawful or infringing material, expose secrets or private information, distribute malware, or disrupt or probe systems without authorization. Automated use must respect service limits. Free tiers are not permission to evade provider quotas, create abusive accounts, or violate another service’s rules.
Rankings and badges are community features, not prizes, financial rewards, proof of identity, or certifications. Signed reports and automated checks do not independently establish every usage claim, cost, test outcome, or the safety of submitted software. We may correct or remove misleading entries.
4. Your builds and content
You keep ownership of your contributions. Submit only content you have permission to share, including descriptions, images, code links, and imported task details. The Workbench is intended for complete, working projects with public source code and enough information for others to inspect the result.
You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, reproduce, format, and display your submitted content as needed to operate and promote its listing within the Club. This does not transfer ownership or change the license of a linked repository. The license ends when your content is removed from our active service, except for temporary technical backups and retention required by law. Anonymous aggregate statistics may remain as described in the Privacy Policy.
You can remove your own database-backed posts through their owner controls or contact us about a curated listing. Other people may retain copies of content that was public. Linking to a project does not mean we endorse it or guarantee its functionality, security, license compliance, or test results.
5. Moderation and account closure
We may decline, label, limit, or remove content, restrict features, or suspend an account for violations, abuse, security concerns, or legal requirements. Where appropriate, we will explain the reason and allow you to contact us for reconsideration. Immediate action may be necessary to protect the service or others. Send reports and appeals to [email protected], with the relevant URL and enough detail to investigate.
Account deletion in Account Settings is permanent. It removes your personal Club statistics and contributions, disconnects installations, and ends account access. Anonymous combined totals remain. Keep any records you need before confirming deletion.
6. AI, demonstrations, and third parties
Review AI-generated code and test it before relying on it. You are responsible for commands and services you authorize, their costs, and their effect on your systems. A scripted walkthrough shows a prepared example; it is not a live execution, performance guarantee, or assurance of unattended completion.
Third-party availability, quotas, pricing, and data practices are outside our control. “Free” usage categories do not include every possible cost, such as subscriptions, hardware, electricity, or hosting. Estimates are not invoices or guaranteed savings. Any paid Club feature will have its price and payment terms disclosed before purchase; creating a free account does not authorize a charge.
7. Availability and limits of responsibility
To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted operation, or accuracy. Keep your own backups. We do not guarantee continued access, a particular ranking, or successful project completion.
To the extent permitted by law, cheapoS and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses, including lost profits, lost data, or interruption of business arising from use of the service. These exclusions do not limit liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud or willful misconduct where applicable.
8. Disputes and changes
Please contact [email protected] first so we can try to resolve a concern. Florida law and applicable United States federal law govern these terms, except where mandatory laws in your place of residence provide otherwise. These terms do not require arbitration or waive non-waivable rights.
We may update these terms with a revised date and give additional notice of material changes where required. Changes apply prospectively. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect to the extent permitted by law.
